Job Description

Chartis Research (www.chartis-research.com) is a research firm, specialising in the risk technology (RiskTech) and financial technology (FinTech) sectors. We have an international client-base of Fortune 500 companies, and strategic relationships with a range of leading advisory firms, including global players like EY.

We produce more than twenty focused research reports every year on a range of critical industry themes, and our custom research offering – covering a range of consulting and co-produced research projects – is growing rapidly. Also, as part of Infopro Digital, we are closely aligned with industry publications such as Risk.net and Waters Technology.

We are looking for a new Research Principal to join our team of risk and regulatory technology research specialists.

The successful candidate will lead research projects, co-write reports, and present insights to an external audience (e.g. conferences and panel discussions).

Qualifications

  • This content-focused role reports to the Head of Research, and would suit candidates with solid experience in the FinTech/RiskTech/RegTech space, who are looking for an exciting new challenge.
  • Ideally you will be a “thought leader” in two-or-more Risk/FinTech sectors (e.g. Financial Crime, Market Risk, Credit Risk, Operational Risk, Big Data, AI, Financial Analytics, etc.)
  • We are also looking for highly collaborative candidates, able to work well independently and with teams to deliver a challenging programme of research for our clients.
  • Strong candidates will also be well connected to the industry, and will have a "point of view" on the key themes driving it, which they can help mould that into an engaging story for clients.
  • Strong communicator, with excellent verbal and written skills, and the ability to explain complex concepts concisely and simply for a mixed audience.
  • Highly process-driven with strong analytical capabilities, the ability to task switch, rise to challenges, share thinking and opinions, and give/receive peer feedback.
  • Willing to ‘push’ new ideas and opinions to peers, clients, and the wider market.
  • A Bachelor's degree in a related field (Masters preferred); relevant professional qualifications (e.g. CISI, GARP, PRMIA, IRM, etc.)
