Job Description

This is a chance to join Risk and WatersTechnology, divisions of Infopro Digital. Brands include: Risk, Buy-Side Technology (BST), Sell-Side Technology (SST), Inside Market Data (IMD), Inside Reference Data (IRD), Inside Data Management magazine (IDM) and Waters magazine (Waters).

 

Although some editorial is delivered via print, Risk and WatersTechnology considers themselves an online first publishing organization, with www.risk.net and www.waterstechnology serving as the main entry points into all premium content.

 

This position is for an ambitious, creative and hard-working sales person. They must be enthusiastic, confident, and comfortable dealing with senior executives on the phone, through emails and in face-to-face encounters. They must possess a high level of personal influencing and negotiation skills, with the ability to increase revenues by tailoring creative packages to suit the needs of individual clients. A varied and engaging sales role, this is a fantastic chance for a salesperson to work on a number of leading brands and progress their career in the New York office.

 

The role will support the full range of products and services across all brands. The products include: Events, Advertising (print /digital), Custom Content, Custom Events, Lead Generation and Awards.

 

Responsibilities Include:

 

  • KPI aligned, including monthly, quarterly and yearly target achievement
  • Provide accurate and timely feedback on all projects
  • Actively manage post-sales activity, including liaising with editorial, freelancers, producers, operations and marketing, towards the successful completion of all contracted sales
  • Self-starter with the confidence to sell into the financial technology and data markets
  • Become familiar with and gain a confidence in selling across the full suite of products and services as listed above
  • Continuously build and service contacts within your sector of the industry through meetings, telephone conversations and social functions
  • Sell over the telephone, face-to-face client meetings, trade shows and conferences
  • Look to develop the brands and their place in the market
  • Gain an understanding of the various publication’s business strategies
  • Represent the publication at key internal and external events, both within and outside normal office hours
  • Travel for work

Qualifications

  • Undergraduate degree preferred
  • At least 3 years selling advertising and sponsorship, preferably to financial technology vendors or financial institutions
  • Hardworking, enthusiastic, confident, flexible, intelligent & creative.
  • A skilled communicator comfortable dealing with senior executives from the financial technology and data industry in either a face-to-face, email or telephone capacity.
